After the launch of the most awaited SUV, Harrier, TATA motors is now planning to launch its all-black version, probably called as Harrier Dark Edition. Harrier has been one of the most crowd pulled model launched this year. Now after months of launching the Harrier, they are stepping towards introducing its modified version which will be completely in black colour.
The new Harrier will be named as Harrier Dark edition with unique Atlas Black exterior paint along with 17 inches “Blackstone” alloy wheels, and the skid plates featuring all-black colour, grey headlamp inserts etc. The “Blackstone” shade is present all in the interior as well, mainly on the dashboard. Coming to the centre console features matte grey inserts and faux wood trims. The seats are of Benecke-Kaliko Blackstone leather and door pads with perforated leather inserts.
The new model will be slightly priced more than the existing Harrier models, but not sure about the pricing compared to the dual-tone variant. The new model launch is also a part refreshing the market presence in the tight competing segment as there are two major entries, the MG Hector and KIA Seltos. TATA is considering to add-on competing for features like sun-roof, voice command etc in Harrier to make the competition ever more tight.
At the Geva motor show, TATA motors had showcased a model called “Buzzard” with three-row seats and with a six-speed automatic engine which is now the current model Harrier. Going forward TATA will embed the same automatic engine in Harrier which will be BS-6 compliant.
TATA is also focusing the upcoming festive season to launch its new premium hatchback “Altros” which is expected to be another market player in the market.
