Suzuki is all set to launch the new player in the compact SUV segment that too in the sub-4-meter segment. The small SUV is known to focus mainly on “First car” buyers in the market. Suzuki also expects to gain the momentum of sales in this class of customers too.
Suzuki has witnessed a massive depression in the sales of Alto 800, Celerio etc in the previous months even though they were the best selling makes of the company. However, the decline in sales of the compact SUV segment vehicles like Brezza doesn’t seem to be much greater. This trend has made the largest selling automotive giant to roll out the new player S-Presso into the market.
S-Presso was first introduced in Delhi Auto Expo, 2018 with the name Future- S concept and gained more attention. The new mini SUV is designed all in a way suited for the Indian road condition and customers.
The boxy designed S-Presso will cost anyway less than the Vitara Brezza and is expected to have features like Muscular body, Chromium Grille, LED Tail lamp, DRL, Skid plate etc. The interior features may include smart connectivity, auto climate control, multi-function steering wheel etc.
The 1.2 L K-Series petrol engine or a diesel motor may power the S-Presso. The exact specifications are yet to be known. Mahindra XUV 100 NXT, Tata H2X will be the main rivals of S-Presso.
